Dairy Girl NetworkThe Dairy Girl Network (DGN) is preparing to host a networking event, annual meeting and news conference at World Dairy Expo. The fast growing organization is also a participating exhibitor among the trade show.

Women are invited to the DGN networking event scheduled on Wed., Sept., 30 at Monona Terrace Community & Convention Center in Madison, Wis. from 5:30 p.m. – 9 p.m. The hors d'oeuvres dinner buffet will be served 6 p.m. -­? 8 p.m. as dairywomen connect through the evening and inspire new ideas to achieve goals.

The networking dinner is open to women involved with any part of dairy – whether as a calf feeder, dairy owner, marketing or sales consultant servicing dairy farms or cheese producers, veterinarian, researchers, etc. If there is a dairy cow involved in what she does, she's invited. Attendees will learn more about programs and opportunities being developed by the fast-­?growing Dairy Girl Network.

"We have truly moved the group nationwide and it's exciting to celebrate together at World Dairy Expo, where DGN began. Our mission of connecting dairywomen across the nation becomes clear every day. I am proud of this network we've developed and anxious to see what we can accomplish together in the future."

The vision of the Dairy Girl Network supports all women in dairy by enhancing lives and creating opportunities. Previous DGN networking events were held at the Western Dairy Management Conference, Central Plains Dairy Expo, All-­?American Dairy Show and World Dairy Expo. The gatherings proved deep success as women walked away inspired to get more involved. Additional events are being considered for 2016.

Prior to the networking event at Monona Terrace, the DGN annual meeting will begin at 3:30 p.m. Agenda highlights include ratifying bylaws, as well as discussion about events and programs. A news conference about the Dairy Girl Network is set for Fri., Oct. 2 at 8 a.m. on show grounds at the Exhibit Hall, Monona room. The Dairy Girl Network will also display a trade show booth located at the coliseum main concourse 37tt.

The Dairy Girl Network is open to women dairy farmers and industry partners and supported by founding sponsors: DairyBusiness Communications, Diamond V, ImmuCell, Elanco and Land O'Lakes.

The Dairy Girl Network connects all women of the dairy industry, encouraging ideas and camaraderie in an effort to achieve personal and professional development. Designed as a welcoming network of passionate women involved in dairy, relationships will grow through shared experience, support and inspiration.
