Collegiate Farm BureauUW-Madison's Collegiate Farm Bureau elected new officers for the upcoming school year at its Annual Meeting and Banquet last May at the University Club on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus.

Elected president for the 2014-15 year was Taylor Holterman, a senior studying life sciences communication and pursuing a certificate in entrepreneurship. Holterman is from Watertown, Wis. and is ready to lead the new officer team after studying abroad this summer in Denmark and England focusing on sustainable food systems.

Emily Selner was elected the group's vice president. Selner is a junior studying life sciences communication and agricultural economics from Denmark, Wis. who served as the external communications intern for Land O' Lakes this summer.

Collegiate Farm Bureau's next secretary is Jaime Sawle from Sauk Prairie, Wis. Sawle is a junior pursuing an agricultural business management degree who spent her summer as an intern for Agri-Nutrition Consulting in the marketing department.

Serving as treasurer will be Bradley Jaeger from Newton, Wis. Bradley is a junior studying agricultural economics and agronomy. Jaeger spent his summer as a corporate events intern for Case IH.

Rounding out the officer team are two directors at-large. Erica Olson, a junior studying agronomy from Black River Falls, Wis., and Tyler Troiola, a junior in agricultural economics from Eagle, Wis. This summer Erica worked as a research assistant for the UW-Madison Agronomy Soybean and Small Grains Department. Tyler spent the summer working on his uncle's grain farm in Eagle, Wis.

The officer team will direct the member-driven organization in being the leading collegiate voice for agriculture. This year Collegiate Farm Bureau is planning two major educational outreach events on the UW-Madison campus including a showing of the Farmland Film on November 21 and the fifth annual Ag Day on Campus next spring on April 22.

The Collegiate Farm Bureau is a University of Wisconsin-Madison student organization acting as a voice for agriculture – striving to educate the local college community about agriculture, the food sciences and agribusiness. The Collegiate Farm Bureau is affiliated with the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation.
