Cazenovia Equipment Company announced today that they has entered into an agreement with Precision Drone, a Noblesville, Indiana based company. Through their partnership with Precision Drone, Cazenovia Equipment will be offering the helicopter-style drones (hexacopters) to agricultural customers through their nine New York retail locations.

These hexacopters are small, unmanned aircraft that can fly up to 400 feet high while taking aerial images and video of crops and fields autonomously. The data collected by agricultural drones is a part of the total precision agriculture approach that can assist with observing, measuring, and responding to crop variability. The images and data collected will be used to help diagnose problems with crop health and determine how to improve yields.

"We are focusing on how we can assist our customers to insure the investment they make in technology has a positive impact on their operation," says Jim Frazee, VP of Operations at Cazenovia Equipment. Technology in agriculture has grown tremendously in the past three to five years. In order to better serve their markets, Cazenovia Equipment has added a dedicated Integrated Solutions department staffed by fully trained team members. The Integrated Solutions team stands ready to educate customers as they look to become more familiar with drone technology.

Cazenovia Equipment Company is excited to unveil this new drone technology to their customers. Look for more information regarding a demonstration event coming this fall at Cazenovia Equipment. The event will allow customers to see all of the latest and greatest in agricultural equipment and technology, including a full demonstration of the Precision Drone hexacopter.
