The April 2015 sire evaluations for CRV brought exciting new Holstein InSires as well as sires with daughters proven to produce Premium Milk. These bulls will allow producers to take advantage of premium payments for fat and protein during times when fluid milk prices are low.
New Insire Releases
Several new Insire (genomic) bulls shine for CRV's Efficiency and Health indices. Peak Jerod ABEL (Jerod x Mogul) 097HO41444 is the number one Jerod son at 2589 GTPI and offers positive health traits at 7% BLH, +2.5 DPR, and +6.4 PL. Pen-Col SS BOBBY-ET (Supersire x Grafeeti) 097HO41367 is a leading Supersire son at 2571 GTPI with 1612 lbs Milk. EDG CLOWN (Mogul x Lavaman) 097HO41402 offers a unique combination of production and health with 906 lbs Milk, positive DPR and PL, and a low SCE at 6.6. All three bulls are positive for both Fat and Protein percent, over 115 CFP, greater than 790 CM$, and over 8% for BLE.
Another new release, Abtshoeve MOHICAN (Fanatic x Bolton) 097HO41361 is a CRV leader for SCE at 5.9, 799 lbs Milk with positive Fat and Protein percentages, and 642 CM$.
Proven Premium Milk stars
The Dutch breeding philosophy has always been driven towards high Fat and Protein production, and CRV's proven sire line-up emphasizes that belief. Delta G-FORCE (Man O Man x Jordan) 097HO40211 is another example of the success of the Delta breeding program. At 230 NVI with 0.28% Fat and 0.19% Protein, G-FORCE sires daughters that are efficient as well as healthy with a 6% BLH score. Aurora JEROEN (Betil x O Man) 097HO40155 is a production leader at 903 kgs Milk, 121 kgs CFP, and positive for both Fat and Protein percent. JEROEN is also an Udder Health and Strength expert at 106 and 110 respectively. As an early G-FORCE son, Newhouse SKYFALL (G-Force x Goldwyn) 097HO40853 is a strong component bull with a low Feed Intake which yields a 8% BLE score. SKYFALL is also an improver of Hoof Health and Ketosis at 107 and 104 respectively.
