Bio-Vet Adds Swartzlander as Technical Services Director
Bio-Vet, Inc., has added Dr. Jeff Swartzlander to its staff as Technical Services Director. In this position, Dr. Swartzlander will be in charge of field technical services, including conducting field trials and providing technical support for the Bio-Vet sales team.
Dr. Swartzlander has an extensive background in animal nutrition and the use of microbials in animals. He received his master's degree and Ph.D. in animal nutrition from Oklahoma State University. He has worked primarily in the beef and dairy industries, and also has experience in poultry and swine nutrition.
Dr. Swartzlander conducted his master's degree work on the utilization of Propionibacterium freudenreichii strain P5 in cattle suffering from nitrate toxicity. P5 is a key bacterial strain used in a number of Bio-Vet products.
Dr. Swartzlander lives in McAlester, Oklahoma.
