VITA PLUSKary Babb was recently selected for the Vita Plus Dairy Technical Extended Internship in partnership with the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. She is the second student to take part in this internship opportunity. Through this unique opportunity that stretches over two semesters and a summer, Babb will gain experience in dairy nutrition and management consulting. Vita Plus will fund the internship credits throughout the duration of the experience in return for the research and project support that she will provide.

VITA PLUSBabb, a native of Durand, Illinois, is a senior at UW-Platteville where she is majoring in animal science with an emphasis in science and agribusiness. She worked as an animal caretaker at the UWP Pioneer Farm and was responsible for feeding livestock, providing educational tours and milk summary data analysis sheets. In 2013, she earned a master's of beef advocacy through the National Cattlemen's Beef Association. She also gained knowledge of dairy production in Ghana, Africa through the UWP-Agriculture and Women's Livelihood study abroad program. At UW-Platteville, Babb is a member of the Sigma Alpha Professional Agricultural Sorority, Block ‘n' Bridle, Equestrian Club, Ski and Snowboarding Club, and Collegiate Farm Bureau.
