Animart logoANIMART, LLC is pleased to announce the recent acquisition of Pennsylvania based Animal Medic, Inc., a leading supplier of dairy health supplies in the Northeastern United States.

Animal Medic began developing their longstanding relationship with dairy farmers in 1970. While their primary service area extends from Maryland to Maine, over time as loyal customers moved, the company's reach grew to have a national and international presence. Their growth can be greatly attributed to dedicated staff and wide array of product availability.

ANIMART has been advancing veterinary services for dairy producers in Wisconsin and the surrounding states since 1982. By providing a combination of fair pricing and sound animal health care, they've helped to shape the way farmers across the Midwest access animal health products and veterinary services. They too, through exceeding expectations, have grown to serve producers nationally and internationally.

This new combination provides direct reach into 20 dairy states with the potential touch of 4.3M dairy cows or 48% of the US dairy population. With a footprint from Maine to Minnesota as far south as the Ohio River Valley, they'll be targeting a prospective 83% of the nation's dairy farms, making this new entity one of the premier dairy animal health providers in the United States. The value proposition to producers will be focused on establishing valid client patient relationships for expanded Veterinary Services, introduction of new innovative niche products, competitive prices and on-farm product delivery platforms.

"As we look at the market opportunities and listen to our dairy customers, we believe this union of organizations will be a step forward in creating greater value for producers and vendors," says ANIMART President and CEO, Dan Ellsworth, "Over the coming months we will be bringing the best of both organizations together so as to continue each company's legacy of producer focus."

The merger was made possible by another business relationship new to ANIMART. Earlier this year a partnership was formed with Goldner Hawn Johnson & Morrison (GHJ&M), a private equity firm out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. GHJ&M was founded in 1989 and has raised $825 million in committed capital and invested in 53 control equity transactions through partnership and collaboration with business owners and management. The additional funding allows ANIMART, LLC to move forward with strategic vision in its mission to be the preferred animal health supplier and continue exceeding producer expectations. ANIMART founders; Dr. Jim and Ruth Metz continue to be involved with the company as owners and serve on the Board of Directors.

The newly partnered company will see Dan Ellsworth continue to serve as President and CEO, while Jay Miller of Animal Medic will become Senior Director of ANIMART's new Northeast Division.

Established in 1982 and headquartered in Beaver Dam, Wis., ANIMART, LLC is a privately held provider of animal health and veterinary products as well as show equipment for dairy and livestock producers. ANIMART is committed to offering a full line of products and solutions to help dairy and livestock businesses succeed.
