Accelerated logoAccelerated Genetics is pleased to announce the addition of new employees continuing the growth trend for the cooperative. Joining the Accelerated Genetics team are Ann Dembowiak, Michael Schmitt, Janet Rapp and Jessica Radcliffe.

Annette Dembowiak joined the Accelerated Genetics team as Accounting Clerk in the Financial Department. Her responsibilities will include receiving daily sales representative's reports and office payments, data entry, processing account adjustments and overseeing the monthly distribution of statements to customers and field personnel.

Dembowiak comes to Accelerated Genetics with experience in sales and marketing, real estate, accounts payable and receivable, and is currently enrolled in the Accounting Program at Madison College.

Michael Schmitt joined Accelerated Genetics as a Genetic Information Analyst. In this position, Michael will be responsible for overall management of our genomic data. He will provide necessary information to the Genetics Teams and assist with decision-making process for sire acquisitions. He will be responsible for maintaining genetic information on the company website. This will include updating photographs, pedigrees, dam's records and scores. Schmitt will also be responsible for coordinating SET evaluations and coordinating our pace sampling process.

Schmitt has a strong dairy, genetics and analytical background. He is a recent graduate of the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities, where he majoring in Animal Science- Dairy Production. During college he was involved in Dairy Judging, Dairy Challenge, Gopher Dairy Club and Farmhouse Fraternity. He also was a research assistant for a robotic milking study. Schmitt has been an active member of the Minnesota Junior Holstein Association- serving as President and was a National Distinguished Junior Member Finalist.

In 2013, Michael was the Genetic Serves Intern for Accelerated Genetics. He located and pictured young dairy sires during his internship. In 2014 he was the Minnesota Region Dairy Intern for Vita-Plus, where he conducted research on calf environments, calf feeders, milk replacers and dry cow strategies.

Michael comes from a registered Holstein dairy farm where his family milks about 100 cows. Their "Ralma" prefix has put many bulls in AI and has sold genetics around the globe.

Janet Rapp joined the Accelerated Genetics team on June 8th as an Accounts Payable Clerk in the Finance Department based out of the Baraboo Administration facility.

Rapp will be responsible for receiving, processing, verifying and reconciling invoices as well as a host of other accounts payable related tasks. She has over 15 years of experience in the accounting field. She actively volunteers for Breakfast on the Farm, Special Olympics, Lake Wisconsin Lions Club and Thursday's Child Fundraiser.

Rapp lives in Harmony Grove with her husband Paul. They have one daughter and two grandchildren.

Jessica Radcliffe joined the Accelerated Genetics team as Beef Programs Coordinator. She will have the responsibility of assisting the Director of Beef Programs in all aspects of the beef division including processing bull contracts, coordination bull pickup notices, maintaining an accurate data base on all beef sires, as well as serving as a resource for all inquiries from both customers and employees. She will also be assisting the Communications team with beef related promotional materials.

Radcliffe graduated from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign with a degree in Agriculture and Consumer Economics with concentration in Agribuiness Markets and Management. She also has a minor in Animal Science. She is co-owner of S&R Angus, a family-run Angus seed-stock operation of over 50 registered Angus cattle located near Weston, Wisconsin. She is an active member of the National Junior Angus Association and served on the board of directors for three years. She was a leadership director in 2014-2015 where she coordinated the Angus leadership conference. In 2012, Radcliffe was first place showman in the National Junior Angus Showmanship Contest. She was also a member of the Wisconsin Junior Angus Association where she served as President, Membership Chair, Co-chair for LEAD conference, Publicity chair, and was named the 2014 Outstanding junior member.
