Accelerated Genetics is proud to welcome nine new members to the team.



Accelerated Genetics logoBrian Nelson joins the Accelerated Genetics ranks as a Genetics Specialist for the Western Region. Working in Region 8, Nelson will cover California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas. He will serve as a consultant for PACE program herds and as a mating program evaluator utilizing Accelerated Genetics' on farm computer program, Genetic Evaluation and Mating Program (GEM). In addition, Nelson will coordinate SET schedules, daughter photography, and tours. Nelson brings prior experience in the A.I. industry to his position. He was previously with another AI company for over three years working as a Cornerstone Specialist and GMS program evaluator.

A California Polytechnic State University alumni, Nelson graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Dairy Science. He is involved with the California Holstein Association and grew up working on his family's dairy, Nelson Farms, in Ceres, Calif. They milk about 550 registered Holsteins.

To the finance division, Daniel Coulthard, Mount Horeb, Wis., joins as Staff Accountant/Accounts Receivable. His responsibilities will include maintaining the Credit Policy manual, coordinating the accounts receivable statement distribution and all other credit procedures involved with collecting accounts. Coulthard will also be responsible for the financial statements of the Cooperative Service Center.

Coulthard is no stranger to Accelerated Genetics. In 1993, he served as a Marketing Intern. He has since worked for several agricultural related companies before deciding to shift his career path to accounting. Coulthard is currently attending Upper Iowa University in Madison where he plans to graduate this summer with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting.
In the Sales division, Accelerated Genetics welcome four new Regional Assistants, a new A.I. Technician.

Gary DeJager, Waupun, Wis., is the Regional Assistant for Region 14 under the direction of Regional Sales Manager, Dave Calvert. DeJager has been working with technicians and retail sales representatives in the Region 14 area of south central and eastern Wisconsin and northern Illinois.

Adam Pecinovsky, Lewiston, Minn., is the Regional Assistant for Region 12 under the direction of Regional Sales Manager, Pam Hendel. Adam served as a Sales and Service Intern for Accelerated Genetics in 2011. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in May. Pecinovsky will be working with technicians and retail sales representatives in the Menomonie/Eau Claire area.

Cody Carpenter is the Regional Assistant for Region 14 under the direction of Regional Sales Manager, Dave Calvert. Carpenter will be working with technicians and retail sales representatives in District 14.He comes to Accelerated Genetics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he received his Bachelors degree in Dairy Science.

Keith Nettekoven is a part time Regional Assistant for Region 14, also under the direction of Dave Calvert. He is a graduate of Fox Valley Technical College, Appleton, Wis., where he received his Associate Degree in Agri-Business.

Jennifer Krultz, River Falls, Wis., has been assigned her own area as a Professional A.I. Technician under the direction of Regional Sales Manager, Pam Hendel. She will be providing sales and service to customers in the areas surrounding Marshfield, Spencer, Stratford, Pittsville, Vesper and Auburndale, Wis.

Most recently, Krultz served as a Region 12 Regional Assistant and prior to that, a Sales and Service Intern for Accelerated Genetics during the summer of 2011. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and holds a bachelor's degree in Dairy Science.

Accelerated Genetics welcomes back a previous Marketing Communications intern, David Jones, Stevinson, Calif. David has accepted the Communications Coordinator position for Accelerated Genetics and will be based out of the Administration Office in Baraboo, Wis.

Jones is a graduate of California Polytechnic State University with a Bachelors degree in Dairy Science with an agricultural communications minor. He comes to Accelerated Genetics with a vast amount of experience in communications ranging from videography, photography, layout and design, and writing.

To Accelerated Genetics' subsidiary, Genetic Visions, Inc., Elizabeth Scheuing, Madison, Wis joins the team. Scheuing was hired as a Laboratory/Research Technician under the direction of Dr. Mike Cowan. She comes to Genetic Visions with a Bachelors degree in Animal Science from Michigan State University and has several years of experience working in research laboratories.
