Kleine Hired As Marketing Communications Intern for Accelerated Genetics

Robin Kleine of Lowell, Ind., has been selected as the Accelerated Genetics Marketing Communications Intern. She will be based out of the Accelerated Genetics Administrative Headquarters located in Baraboo, Wis.

During the summer, Kleine will be responsible for interviewing, researching and writing feature articles for the Genetic Trends newsletter, writing news releases, designing promotional brochures, updating the company website, working with the Accel-Link electronic newsletter, helping with the development of advertising campaigns, and representing Accelerated Genetics at various conferences, conventions, shows and events throughout the summer.

Kleine grew up on a diversified crop and livestock operation which involves 3,000 acres and until recently a 200-sow commercial hog operation. In addition, she exhibited beef cattle across the country and began a business with her younger brother – RJ Show Cattle. Together they market a small number of club calves each year.

Currently Kleine attends Kansas State University where she is majoring in Agricultural Communications and Journalism/Animal Sciences and Industry with a minor in Leadership Studies. At college she is active in the Sigma Alpha professional agricultural sorority, KSU Block & Bridel, Little American Royal, KSU Collegiate Cattlewomen and is on the KSU Dairy Cattle Judging Team.

Kleine has work experience as a Summer Intern for Ak-Sar-Ben’s River City Rodeo & Stock Show, Web Assistant for K-State Department of Animal Sciences and Industry, Communications Assistant for K-State Department of Horticulture, Forestry and Recreation Resources, and Summer Intern for K-State Youth Livestock Programs.
