Jeremy Schaefer, Hinckley, Ohio has been hired as a Strategic Account Specialist. In this role he will be working with the sales teams in the Eastern United State assisting them in acquiring large herd business, as well as providing sales training and coaching.Schaefer comes to Accelerated Genetics after serving as an Agricultural Consultant for Wisconsin Public Service in the Calumet and South Manitowoc county area. He spent three and a half years functioning as the principle liaison to facilitate effective communication between the utility company and over 340 agricultural customers.
His passion for the agriculture industry began at an early age when he took a part-time job with Hytry Farms in Mosinee, Wis. The experience he gained while working on this dairy, led him to pursue his Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
Upon graduation he worked as a herdsman at Willow Mist Dairy in southwest Wisconsin, where he maintained responsibility of their overall herd health while being involved with every aspect of the dairy operation. Later he was employed by another major A.I. competitor as a Tech Specialist working with several dairies of various sizes supplying artificial insemination and program support.
Schaefer is currently working on his Master's Degree in Project Management.
