Mackenzie GomesAll West/Select Sires is pleased to announce the addition of Mackenzie Gomes to the team as a Communications Intern for the summer. Gomes, raised in Willows, CA, is currently attending California Polytechnic State University where she is earning a B.S. in agriculture communication while minoring in agriculture business.

Growing up on her family's third generation Holstein dairy farm, Gomes gained a passion for all things agriculture at a young age. She was an active member of both 4-H and FFA, showing rabbits and dairy cattle and served as California's 2013 - 2014 District 4 Dairy Princess. While attending college, Gomes works as a milker and calf feeder at the Cal Poly Dairy and is involved in the Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow Club.

"All West/Select Sires has always treated my family like part of their own while being their customers for many years," said Gomes. "I look forward to another opportunity where I can give back to the dairy farming families that have given so much to me."

While not busy with her many activities, Gomes enjoys reading, writing and photography while experiencing the agriculture industry. Upon graduation, she would like to pursue a career in the dairy industry involving social media and public relations.

Gomes started work with All West Select Sires in late June.
