University of Minnesota Makes It Back-to-Back Collegiate Victories at 2015 All-American Dairy Show

The University of Minnesota, Ohio State University – Agricultural Technical Institute, New York 4-H and Ohio FFA won each of their respective divisions at the 2015 All-American Dairy Judging Contest held on September 14 at the Farm Show Complex and Expo Center in Harrisburg.

Contestants judged 10 classes of cattle and then gave oral reasons on four or five of the classes depending on their division. The top five individuals and teams were recognized in each division for specific breed performance, oral reasons and overall results.

Collegiate Division


University of Minnesota, winning team


The University of Minnesota, with team members Nathan Donnay, Dane Thompson, Eric Houdek and Vincent Migliazzo, won the 2015 All-American Dairy Judging Contest for the second year in a row. They are coached by Les Hansen.
High Individual, University of Minnesota
2nd – University of Wisconsin-River Falls
3rd – Cornell University
4th – University of Wisconsin-Madison
5th – Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University

Junior Collegiate Division


OSU-ATI, winning two-year college team

Ohio State University-Agricultural Technical Institute, composed of Tanner Topp, Kaleb Kliner, Hannah Dye and Josh Paulin, won the Junior Collegiate Division at the 2015 All-American Dairy Judging Contest. They are coached by Don Hange.

4th – Modesto Junior College
5th – Alfred State College

The 52nd All-American Dairy Show, the world's largest dairy show, runs September 12-17 at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center in Harrisburg. This year's show features 22 shows in six days, the nation's only all-dairy antiques show, nearly 2,800 animals and more than 1,300 exhibitors from across the nation. The week caps off with the 59th Pennsylvania Dairy Princess Pageant on Saturday, September 19, at the Radisson Hotel in Camp Hill, Cumberland County, Pa.
