Madeline Meyer, Michigan 4-H, High Individual Junior Dairy Management ContestHigh-placing contest individual Madeline Meyer of Michigan 4-H of Clinton County, Mich., picked up the $1,000 scholarship from the Pennsylvania Dairymen's Association at the 29th annual Junior Dairy Management Contest, Tuesday, September 15, during 2015 All-American Dairy Show at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center in Harrisburg.

Florida FFA earned a score of 1332, placing them as the highest ranked team overall. Michigan 4-H had six individuals rack up points and manage to be one of the top 10 ranked individuals.

Participants evaluated two classes of dairy cattle, identified feeds, recognized cuts of meat and answered questions about reproduction and business management to help prepare them for careers in the dairy industry or to further their agricultural education.

Six different timed classes were used to evaluate contestants. The five highest scoring individuals were then interviewed about current dairy issues before the final placing was made.
