Registration Open for 2015 North American Manure Expo: "Manure Than You Can Handle"
Register Early for Free T-shirt
Registration is now open for the 2015 North American Manure Expo. The Manure Expo will be held in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania on July 14th (Tour Day) and July 15th (Main Exposition Day).
I wanted to get notification out to those certified in Act 49 and Act 38 so you could register in time to receive a free T-shirt of the Rejected Manure Expo Slogans'. The first 600 registrants who bring their printed registration paper in person to the Manure Manager Magazine booth on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 can redeem the registration proof for a T-shirt. Registration is not necessary to attend, and shirts will be available for sale when the show grounds are open (after 5:00 PM on July 14 and all day July 15).
Pump School
Puck Custom Enterprises (PCE) will be conducting Pump School on Monday, July 13, 2015 at the Hampton Inn in Chambersburg from 4:00-6:00 PM. The program will provide education on manure pumping, particularly focusing on long-distance pumping situations, such as drag-lining or irrigation systems.
Tour Day
There will be four Tour Day options. To attend a tour you must pre-register. Three bus tours begin around 8:00 AM and return to the Expo grounds around 5:00 PM. They are a Dairy Tour (includes Agitation Tour), Poultry Tour, and Equine and Beef Small Farm Tour. Lunch will be provided on the tours. The fourth is the Agitation Only Tour and departs the show grounds at 2:00 PM to meet up with the Dairy Tour at the Agitation Demonstration Farm. Tuesday Evening
The Expo show grounds will be open for business at 5:00 PM for those returning from tours or just arriving to spend the evening. There will be several educational opportunities available in the evening as well.
The Main Exposition Event
Wednesday, July 15th is the Main Exposition Day. Grounds will open at 7:30 AM with educational sessions starting at 8:00. The day will include the Trade Show, Solid Manure Application Vendor Demonstrations, Liquid Manure Application Vendor Demonstrations, a Spill Response Demonstration, and many Educational session opportunities. Continuing Education Credits
Details are evolving quickly for Manure Expo programming. We intend to have many credit opportunities available through this event. Please look for future communications and check PaPlants for CEC details as we move closer to the show. Choose carefully because we plan to provide "Manure than you can Handle!"
T-shirt Contest Open until May 15
Our slogan "Manure than you can Handle!" will appear on the front of a T-shirt. For fun, the back of the shirt will contain the "Top 10 Rejected Manure Expo Slogans". To date over 400 slogan entries have been received. You can submit your entries to Robb Meinen (rjm134@psu.edu, (814) 865-5986) until May 15, 2015. Entrants who make the list will receive a free shirt.
