Over $21,000 was awarded to member's children to pursue higher education

Farm First logoFarmFirst Dairy Cooperative announces its 2015 scholarship recipients. Dedicated to supporting future generations of agriculture, the cooperative recently awarded over $21,000 in scholarships to 25 high school and collegiate students pursuing postsecondary education.

This year's scholarship recipients include: Luke Mroczenski, Athens, WI; James Kollross, Arpin, WI; Kaila Wussow, Cecil, WI; Matthew Kramer, St. Cloud, WI; Lindsey Rettenmund, Black Earth, WI; McKenzie Rae Rowley, Loyal, WI; Stacie Luxton, Hillpoint, WI; Jakob Kruger, Westfield, WI; Kory Anderson, Mindoro, WI; Katie Bock, Malone, WI; Jake Rueth, Loyal, WI; Trevor Scheiderer, Edgar, WI; Kayley Shoen, Truman, MN; Brandon Vieth, Cashton, WI; Robert, Jr. Granquist, Powers, MI; Alysja Otten, Neillsville, WI; Zachary Meyer, Spencer, WI; Carley Vinkemeier, Norwood Young America, MN; Derrick Bizer, Medford, WI; Chad Lubben, Edgerton, MN; Brandalyn Kummer, Mondovi, WI; Scott Bloom, Eleva, WI; Brett Breitenfeldt, Wausau, WI; Sarah Grundrum, Allenton, WI; and Jordan Steinhorst, Kewaunee, WI.

Scholarship recipients were selected based on leadership, scholastic achievement, extracurricular activities, essay responses and their future plans and career goals. All members of FarmFirst Dairy Cooperative and their children attending four-year universities, two-year technical programs or short courses and high school seniors planning for postsecondary education were eligible to apply for the scholarships.

FarmFirst Dairy Cooperative was established in 2013 and is based in Madison, Wis. Dedicated to its members, the cooperative represents farms in Wisconsin, Minnesota, South Dakota, Michigan, Iowa, Illinois and Indiana through policy bargaining, dairy marketing services, laboratory testing opportunities and industry promotion.
